Delete your Stovebird account
You can delete your Stovebird account and its data at any time, from the Android app, the iPhone app or the website. It’s the same account everywhere, so deleting it once deletes it everywhere.
In the app or on the website
- Open Stovebird and sign in.
- Tap Settings, then Account and plan.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
It happens at once. If you’d like a copy of your kitchen first, tap Download my data before you delete.
Can’t sign in?
Write to us with the contact form and choose Privacy. Tell us the name on the account and, if it has one, its email address, and roughly when you joined. We’ll confirm the account is yours, then delete it and tell you when it’s done, within 45 days.
What’s deleted, and what’s kept
- Deleted at once: your kitchen (pantry, staples, household settings, recipes, ratings, timers and photos), your passkeys and sign-ins, and your messages to us.
- Emptied: your account record loses your name and email. The record of how the app worked for you is deleted; bare counts remain, so our totals still add up, and nothing in them points to you.
- Cancelled first: a Pro subscription, if you have one.
- Kept for a while: deleted data can stay in our host’s recovery copies for up to 30 days before it’s gone for good. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.
The Privacy Policy has the details.
